Over And Over...

... as to quote Black Sabbaths epic song with RJD.. I´m now re-recording the songs for the fourth time....!!! I picked up Roger from work and we headed to the studio to record some smokin´ and thunderin´ guitars all over again. Recorded two songs this evening. I´ve been in a coma the last few weeks, due to all the problems with amps, sounds, unwanted noise and what have you.. but have found new inspiration from hearing ol´ Fred screaming his lungs out. He´s sounding better than ever and has written some awesome melodies, as always. And It´s very exciting to hear the songs grow as the vocals are recorded.

I´m going back to the studio this thursday. Now It´s full speed ahead.. again.. Stay tuned folks!

Love, Peace and Metal. /Peter

The Worrying Kind!

I can´t say that we were worried perhaps, but today it was time to take a good listen to Ola Salo´s efforts on the song "The Greatest Enemy" since I was eager to record my final lead vocals for that song.

When i´m in front of the mike, i stick with one track and i sing and sing and sing until im pleased. Ola worked in a slightly different way. He recorded up to about 10 different tracks for everything he sang, with slightly different interpretations of the song on each track. SO, me, Roger and Peter sat down today with the project of picking the best of the best of Ola´s recorded vocals.

The whole process took us about 4 hours and when we had found the creme of the crop of Ola´s work, I took my place, put the headphones on and laid down my vocals together with his. When I was done, I just knew, this will be so GREAT when all is said and done.

Im signing off for a week now as Peter will spend some ax time in there, laying down some of those mean thundering guitars.

Peter and Roger, thanks for a very enjoyable session today!

Catcha later. /Fredrik

Du Riechst So Gut!

Oh yes! There was a classic german metal vibe in the studio
tonight as the vocals for "Behind The Wall" were completed,
and Richard came up with an interesting vocal arrangement
that closed the german deal with perfection! WIE GEHTS?

More vocals come sunday, I think the title track "The Greatest Enemy" might be up, and hopefully another tune also. Stay Metal People! /Fredrik

Shout It Out Loud!

It was a very rewarding session indeed last night. I recorded lead vocals on 2 songs, "You Are" and "Eye Of The Beholder". Richard joined Peter and me for the event and the two songs were completed within 3 hours, and all in all, I felt quite pleased with the evenings efforts.

Conny were in the studio
the other night and being there alone sometimes has its disadvantages, we discovered that all the bass tracks that he recorded suffered from digital distortion.. Get back on that horse and start over boy!! :-)

I´ll be back in business tonight, along with Peter. It´s time to give our german metal tribute "Behind The Wall" a go. Ja, ja, das ist gut!

Little Guitars!

Rumour has it that Peter had a "guitar sound from hell-session" yesterday after rearranging some stuff in the studio that was rigged for vocals. That´s the price you have to pay for being a perfectionist. No matter what, it WILL kick serious ass in the end.

Hmmm, I wonder if I will have any sound issues tomorrow because of Peters adventures yesterday? Time will tell. :-D
Also, Conny is in the studio tonight, laying down some mean thundering bass. Nice.

Screaming For Vengeance!

Hiya people! Technical issues were resolved yesterday and with the assistance of Peter and Roger I recorded lead and some harmony vocals for the song "Human Nature" and im quite pleased with the result.

Guitar sessions and hopefully also some bass will be next up during the weekend and come monday, I will be back on track to work my way through the vocals for a little jolly song called "You Are".

Have a great weekend!
